Someone who does a lot of work behind the scenes at Glebe Park has been given a boost by Brechin supporter George Reid.
George completed a sponsored run, with the £1,620 raised going to City sports therapist Tommy Gilmartin to spend on equipment and supplies for his treatment room.
George explained: "Tommy does a lot of work behind the scenes, often helping players come back from injury much faster than they perhaps would elsewhere.
"Not only that, but he puts in a lot of hours helping many people in the local community overcome their various aches and pains.
"I heard about the 10km sponsored run that was to be taking place up in Inverness and felt it was the ideal way to raise a bit of cash for Tommy to spend on his treatment room.
"I completed the course in 51 minutes 25 seconds, coming 409th out of 1031 participants.
"I'd like to thank all the players at the club for supporting me in this event. Also, I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of my sponsors who contributed to a fantastic total - £1,620 - which I am delighted with.
George is pictured handing his cheque over to Tommy prior to Saturday's game against Forfar Athletic.
