Club Announcement

The Club is both pleased and proud to confirm that, earlier this week, Brechin City Chairman Ken Ferguson was elected by fellow League 1 and League 2 Clubs as their Representative on the SPFL Board.
Ken previously fulfilled this role prior to The Club’s promotion to The Championship two seasons ago, a climb in league status which saw him no longer eligible to hold that position. Within the Scottish FA, he is now part of the influential Professional Game Board for the new season – as well continuing into his third year on the SPFL Competitions Working Group.
Many around The Club, in addition to members of the Management Committee, recognise the considerable time and effort Ken puts in to towards football administration at this level. Although it’s a terrific personal achievement for Ken, The Club can only benefit from the continued presence he brings to the wider Scottish Football Community – a quality which is clearly recognised and valued by those at other SPFL clubs.
Given that Ken follows some pretty iconic Brechin City predecessors in Scottish Football’s corridors of power, it’s of great pride to The Club that the good name of Brechin City continues to be positively represented in the modern day environment of Scottish Football administration.
