George Reid before the walk.
Die-hard City supporter George Reid recently completed a walk from Glebe Park to Dens Park (Dundee) to raise funds for the club.
George ran the Inverness 10K race two years ago to raise funds for the clubs treatment room, and he was willing to undertake an even tougher task this year by walking from Glebe Park to Dens Park on 1st April.
George said, "Despite the Dundee match being resheduled due to the Scottish Cup I decided to do it regardless. I left Glebe Park at about 6am in the morning and I arrived at Dens at around 1:30pm."
"I've raised around £1,000 which is fantastic. I would like to thank the supporters and the committee for contributing and even some Ross County fans who donated some money as well! They overheard me speaking to a Brechin fan about it and they offered to sponsor me!"
"I've written a letter to Ross County Football Club thanking them for their generosity, and hopefully it will be included in their matchday programme in their last home game of the season."
"I would also like to thank John Hillcoat for mentioning my walk in his column in 'The Sunday Mail' and former City striker Paul Ritchie, who now plays for Partick, for giving me a lift back from Dundee!"
