Paul Dixon celebrates his wonder goal in January.
City make the relatively short trip to Dens Park later this evening in which is effectively a meaningless game for both sides.
Dundee are currently on a terrible run of form which has seen them go 8 league games without a victory. This poor run has included a 7-0 mauling against Airdrie Utd at New Broomfield and a 3-2 defeat at home to Queen of the South.
Despite a dissapointing season, Dundee haven't had too much problems when playing Brechin this season. In the three meetings between the two teams so far, Dundee have come out on top all three times.
Dundee were the visitors to Glebe Park back in October in front of a bumper crowd of 2,022. A brace from Simon Lynch sandwiched a goal from Steven Craig which had Dundee 3-0 up after 34 minutes, but Stuart Callaghan pulled a goal back on the stroke of half time for City in a 3-1 defeat.
Dundee struggled against City in the match at Dens Park back in November, as the Dark Blue's had to rely on a somewhat soft penalty to win the game late on.
The most recent match between the sides was at Glebe Park in January where Dundee ran out 3-0 winners, with left back Paul Dixon scoring a cracker of a goal.
Michael O'Neill ha stated he will be trying out some fringe players in tonights game as he has only been in charge of one training session so far. He will be giving some key players a rest while he has a look at players he hasn't looked at already.
Dundee manager Alan Kernaghan may not be in the dugout for tonights game as he is suffering from a stomach bug, although his assistant Billy Kirkwood is confident he will have recovered in time for the game.
City will be without Gary Bollan once again as he is currently suffering from a cartilage injury while former Dundee assistant manager Gerry Britton is rated doubtful. Meanwhile Calum McDonald is definately out for the home side as he has a cracked rib and will most probably be out for the rest of the season. Kevin McDonald has a slight hamstring strain although he is expected to start.
Visiting supporters will be accommodated in the Main Stand Section C, entry via turnstile 31. Prices are £16 for adults and £8 for concessions. Supporters are reminded that this match has a
