Brechin City v Albion Rovers - Match Preview - By Steven Mew

City head into the final match of the decade tomorrow afternoon as we welcome Albion Rovers to Glebe Park.

The Wee Rovers are currently on a good run of form, with only the top two of Cove Rangers and Edinburgh City having yielded more points in the last 6 league matches.

A City side plagued with suspension and illness fell to defeat at Elgin City last weekend but had shown considerable improvement in the two victories prior and will look to get back on track with another positive result against Kevin Harper's side.

TEAM NEWS
City will definitely be without Dougie Hill who serves the second game of his 2 match suspension whilst fellow defender Scott Reekie also sits out having gone over the yellow card threshold.

MANAGERS COMMENTS
Speaking following the match against Elgin City last weekend, Mark said, "A lot of the guys had been struggling with illness in the week leading up to the game. Scott Reekie was a late call off so we had to shuffle the pack a bit - Ross Brown came in and played at centre half and despite being sick at half time he played very well. The boys rolled up their sleeves, got on with it and I thought we deserved something from the game.

"We were good for long spells but we didn't trouble their keeper enough when we were on top and the goals we conceded were too easy. Considering the state of the squad that we pitched up with, I couldn't fault the boys at all and we were unlucky not to grab an equaliser. We tried everything to get that equaliser and poured bodies forward but we left ourselves open the counter attack for the third goal.

"It was disappointing that our wee run of two wins on the bounce ended but if we play like that in other games, we'll pick up wins."

With two defenders in Hill and Reekie suspended tomorrow, Mark said, "It leaves us with decisions to make but that's what you've got a squad for - you've got to utilise everything you've got."

The referee tomorrow is Duncan Williams who will be assisted by Drew Kirkland and Chris Newman.
