City star Kevin Byers has put pen to paper on a two year contract which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2008.

Manager Michael O'Neill is delighted that Byers has signed a new deal, stating that he had been 'fantastic' since his arrival.

Byers, who was signed by Dick Campbell in the summer of 2004, has been an intrumental figure in the side.

Manager Michael O'Neill also played down speculation that he was about to raid his former club Cowdenbeath for big centre back John Ward, stating that there is already plenty of centre backs at the club. However, both Gary Bollan and Scott Walker are transfer listed and should one of them leave during the summer he may consider making a move.
