Manager Michael Paton has wasted no time in bolstering his squad in the newly-opened January transfer window with the capture of highly experienced goalkeeper David Hutton from Airdrieonians.
The 35-year old stopper, who is approaching 400 senior appearances with sides at Championship and League One level, has penned an 18-month contract at Glebe Park.
Since coming through the youth ranks at Aberdeen, David has represented no fewer than nine clubs, namely Petershill, Clyde, Queen of the South, Hamilton Academical, Greenock Morton, Ayr United, Dunfermline Athletic, Arbroath and most recently, Airdrieonians.
Michael Paton commented, "We're delighted to get this one over the line. There has been a lot of interest in David over the last couple of months from teams in a higher division so we're happy that he's decided to come to Brechin. He's knows the picture and the plans here and he wants to be involved in the journey to get us to a healthier position as a Club.
"David has over 300 appearances under his belt in the Scottish game. He's a real leader on the park and he'll help the youngsters along the way. He's got plenty of experience and we're looking forward to working with him."
