Brechin City FC is pleased to confirm the signing of experienced midfielder/forward David Cox, who becomes our 4th new addition of the close season.

'Coxy' has been in training with the Club and featured in the pre-season victory over Forfar Athletic on Tuesday.

The 32 year-old came through the youth system at Kilmarnock and has represented a host of clubs in the SPFL - namely Montrose, Annan Athletic, Alloa Athletic, Peterhead, Airdrieonians, Forfar Athletic, Cowdenbeath and most recently Albion Rovers. He is just short of 400 senior appearances and brings a wealth of experience to the side.

Manager Andy Kirk commented, "I played against David towards the end of my career and I've always liked the qualities that he has. He's a powerful lad and he'll score goals for us. He's got great experience of the leagues which will be vital for the upcoming season.

"David loves the game and when we put the proposal to him and outlined our plans, he was excited by the project ahead. We'll get him back playing and enjoying his football again - hopefully he will be a massive player for us."
