City's squad for the upcoming season continues to take shape with the addition of Sean Docherty on a season-long loan from Heart of Midlothian.

The 17-year old right back featured as a trialist for City in the pre-season friendly against Dundee United at the weekend.

Sean signed professional terms with Hearts on his 16th birthday and has recently signed an extension to his contract with the Jambos.

He will now look further his development with regular first team football at Glebe Park, re-uniting with Andy Kirk having worked together at Hearts.

Manager Andy Kirk commented, "Sean is a player that I've worked with before at the Hearts Academy and reserves. He is a young lad with great ability and hopefully we can help aid his development.

"He is a full back that likes to get forward and has the right attitude to progress and improve his game."
