After a long delay, the club can announce that Gerry Britton has left the club to become manager of fellow 2nd Division side Stranraer. He will be assisted by former Rangers player Derek Ferguson, brother of current Rangers midfielder and Scottish International Barry.

Gerry Britton joined the club early in the season after being told he would not be considered for the vacant manager's job at Dundee. He therefore decided to go part-time so he could continue his studies as a lawyer.

Brechin was a perfect choice for Gerry and he went on to make 24 appearances for Brechin this season including 5 as a substitute, scoring 3 goals in the process.

Brechin City FC would like to wish Gerry all the best in his new job at Stair Park, except against Brechin of course.
