It's back to the bread and butter of league action for City as they look to bounce back from their midweek cup defeat against Rothes tomorrow afternoon.
The Speysiders travel south having won their opening league fixture of the season at home to Fort William, before following that up with a 2-2 draw against Nairn County last weekend.
TEAM NEWS
City Manager Andy Kirk will have the luxury of a full squad to choose from tomorrow. Both Max Kucheriavyi and Jack Milne will be available after representing their parent clubs earlier in the week whilst David Cox returns from suspension.
MANAGERS COMMENTS
Looking back at the cup defeat against Buckie Thistle in midweek, Andy Kirk said,
"The players have fallen short of the standards that they've set themselves. We felt that Buckie worked harder and that was the disappointing thing for us. We're capable of playing some good stuff but you've got to earn the right to do that, and that's through hard work. In the first half Buckie applied themselves a lot better than we did and it's important that we put that right.
"The result and the fact that we are out of the cup is disappointing - we want to win every game. What it has done has given the players a real idea of how difficult this season is going to be. We understand that this is a tough league and there are good teams with good players.
"We have a talented bunch of players and we've played some really nice stuff so far this season, albeit not consistently over 90 minutes. That will take time - just a couple of months ago we had 3 players and it's almost a totally new squad. Sometimes you need bumps in the road like we had on Wednesday to realise that we need to be on our game every week."
Debutant Julian Wade impressed after coming on as a half time substitute with Kirk adding,
"I was really pleased with Julian when he came on. He's different to what we already have - he's happy to run with the ball and can also hold it up. He's quick and he has good ability - we're excited to see more of him and I'm sure the fans are as well. It's another player to add to the talent that we already have at our disposal.
Attention now turns to Saturday with Rothes visiting Glebe Park, Kirk commented,
"At times we have to take responsibility for the performance - it's a good group and I know the players will do that. They've got to give the fans a reaction and put Wednesday's performance to bed. We will be looking to continue our winning run in the league but we can't underestimate the opposition."
