The Club recently held the annual golf day following a 2 year break due to Covid. The weather was on our side as we welcomed 21 teams to Brechin Golf Club.

This year saw the introduction of the George McMillan Memorial Shield for first place which was won by Team Cameron consisting of Gary Cameron, Max Lindsay, Alan Forfar and Gary Craig. There was also a special prize of a Renault Arkana up for grabs for a hole in one at the 10th courtesy of Mackie Motors which returned safely to the showroom.

Just to be playing and enjoying the company of friends as well as supporting the club and Brechin Golf Club was the theme for the day and everyone made sure that was the case.

A huge thanks go out to everyone that made the event such a success and thanks to Brechin Golf Club and their staff for hosting the day. A special mention goes out to Martin Smith and Dick Robertson who planned the day, organised all the teams and assisted with the raffle and fantastic auction. Thanks also to David Birse for compering the auction and to the Brechin City staff who kept everyone well watered at the 10th tee.

A question and answer session with Craig Levein was also well received by everyone. Hope to see everyone back next year and thank you all for your support.
