Match Preview | Nairn County v Brechin City - By Steven Mew

Following two postponed matches due to Covid-19 issues amongst the opposition ranks, City are back in action tomorrow afternoon as we travel to Station Park to take on Nairn County.

Despite the last match being over a fortnight ago, City will be looking to build on what was a confidence boosting win last time out against Formartine United.

Our opponents tomorrow have endured a difficult start to the season and are currently without a win in their last five league fixtures.

TEAM NEWS
City will travel up to Station Park with a near fully fit squad, with a slight concern over one player who will be assessed ahead of kick off.

MANAGERS COMMENTS
Reflecting on the enforced break, Andy Kirk commented, "It was disappointing that we couldn't keep that bit of momentum going after getting the result against Formartine but it has allowed us to work more on the training pitch and break might revitalise the players - they will be chomping at the bit to get back."

The squad played a bounce game against St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park in midweek with Kirk adding, "It was a really good workout for the boys. We lost the game 2-1 but we created a lot of chances and played some really good football. We've got guys that needed minutes, especially having not played for a couple of weeks so it set us up nicely for another training session during the week as well."

Andy also provided an update on the injury front, he said, "We have a little concern over one player but we'll see how that settles over the next day or so but apart from that everyone else is fit and raring to go."
