The Club is delighted to announce that top scorer Marc Scott and vice-captain Jamie Bain have both pledged their futures to Brechin City FC by signing contract extensions prior to yesterday's match.

Both players have been instrumental figures for City this season and the new contracts will see them at Glebe Park until the summer of 2023.

After netting the winner against Alloa Athletic on his debut, 'Marco' has continued to impress for his hometown club, notching 12 goals and his pace and direct style of play has caused plenty problems for opposition defences.

After signing from Clyde in the Summer, Jamie has been almost ever-present for City at the back and has proved to be one of our most reliable and consistent performers. He has made 25 appearances and although he has yet to get on the scoresheet for City, he came agonisingly close yesterday having hit the woodwork on two occasions.
