Match Preview | Keith v Brechin City - By Steven Mew

City will be looking to continue where they left off on Saturday as we travel to face Keith at Kynoch Park tomorrow evening (8pm kick off).

A win for City would see them pull within a point of 3rd placed Brora Rangers in the league table, albeit having played a game more.

Due to numerous postponements, Keith have been out of action for over a fortnight but will be hoping to continue their recent improvement in form which has yielded 3 wins from their last 4 league matches.

MANAGERS COMMENTS
Speaking following the 3-0 win over Huntly at the weekend, Manager Andy Kirk said, "It was difficult conditions, especially in the first half as there was a bit of wind and the pitch was quite bobbly. We were up against it in the first half and Iain (Ross) made a couple of good saves.

"After the performance on Wednesday night we needed to show more in terms of the ugly side of the game. It wasn't pretty for the whole game on Saturday but we were committed and worked hard.

"David (Cox) has been in and out of the team but he's come in and deserved his two goals. Julian also worked hard upfront and perhaps deserved a bit of a break. We had 2 or 3 really good opportunities down the by-line and could have had another couple of goals in the second half.

"I was delighted with the three points and thought we thoroughly deserved the win but credit to Huntly - they worked hard and as we expected, they made it difficult for us. We wanted a response after Wednesday and we got that."

On the second matchday of the league season, City recorded a convincing victory against the Maroons at Glebe Park. Kieran Inglis opened the scoring early on before Rory Currie doubled the advantage shortly before the hour mark. David Cox, who only came on with quarter of an hour remaining, helped himself to a brace late on to add gloss to the win.
