City are back in action tomorrow evening as we host Inverurie Locos in a re-arranged Highland League fixture at Glebe Park (8pm kick off).
City are aiming to build on their recent run of 6 straight wins. Despite a win over Strathspey over Saturday, Manager Andy Kirk will undoubtedly be looking for an improved showing from his side.
The Locos, meanwhile make the relatively short journey down the A90 having struggled in recent weeks, going four matches without a win.
MANAGER'S COMMENTS
Despite the win, Manager Andy Kirk was disappointed with his sides' showing at Strathspey. He said,
"It was another three points but it was a poor performance, especially in the first half. We started the game ok, scored a good goal and should have been 2 ahead almost straight away, but after that it was so slack.
"We spoke to the players at half time as it wasn't the level that we've been putting in in terms of effort, energy and enthusiasm. To be fair we got a reaction in the second half.
"It will be a much tougher game on Wednesday and we need to get back to what we had been doing in the last 4-5 games."

PREVIOUS MEETING
Inverurie Locos 2-1 Brechin City - 6th October 2021
A large travelling support followed City to Harlaw Park for a midweek fixture in October but left disappointed as the home side took all 3 points. A second half double from Neil Gauld did the damage as Kieran Inglis' stoppage time penalty proved to be no more than a consolation.
SPONSORSHIP
The matchball sponsor for this fixture is Brechin Bowling Club who we thank for their continued support.
