City are at Glebe Park for the final time this season as Fort William make the long trip east for a Highland League fixture tomorrow afternoon.
Despite City being guaranteed to finish in 3rd place, Manager Andy Kirk doesn't want his players to lay down tools as they chase a 10th consecutive win.
Currently rooted to the bottom of the division, the Fort will be acutely aware that anything less than a win at Glebe Park tomorrow would see them consigned to a relegation play-off.
TEAM NEWS
After missing a number of players last weekend, City's injury list looks to be improving with both Kieran Inglis and Michael Paton training during the week and are likely to be available for tomorrow's match. On-loan St Johnstone keeper Jack Wills may also make his return after missing the last few weeks. After coming off with a calf injury against Clachnacuddin, top scorer David Cox continues to be assessed with Andy Kirk hopeful that he may be part of the matchday squad.
MANAGERS COMMENTS
Reflecting on the win over Clachnacuddin last weekend, Manager Andy Kirk stated,
"It was fairly comfortable and I think that was in the players minds as we started so well and then stopped doing the basics. We were sloppy at times and started to get a little bit too deep. We conceded a couple of chances and had to defend a number of set pieces. Credit to the players who defended well but we put ourselves in a position where we had to defend. Second half we were well on top and we could have easily had a couple more goals to be fair."
Brechin-based Michael Cruickshank was on the scoresheet again as he bagged the opener early on, with Andy adding,
"Michael has managed to get himself two goals in two weeks by getting himself in the six yard box which in fantastic for a full/wing back. It was a great delivery from Marc for the goal and it was great to see two local lads linking up. We were delighted to see Michael scoring again as he's done really well for us of late - he's got a great attitude and is good to have around the changing room.
Looking ahead to tomorrow's fixture against Fort William, he said,
"They will be like every other team that comes to the Glebe - they will fight for everything and will be desperate for any points they can get. However we set a challenge to the players a while back to win every game until the end of the season - we've managed 9 so we are keen to get two more. Regardless of whether Fort William are bottom of the league or not, we won't take anything for granted. We need to be completely focussed and treat this like it's the first game of the season."

PREVIOUS MEETING
Brechin City 4-0 Fort William - 15th January 2022
A hat-trick from Garry Wood and a first City goal for Ewan Loudon earned a comfortable win in the end against a battling Fort William side at Glebe Park in January. The visitors arrived at Glebe Park with a much-changed squad under new Manager Shadab Iftikhar and they proved to be a tough nut to crack.
