A total of 23 teams took part in the annual Brechin City FC golf day which took place in the sunshine at Brechin Golf Club yesterday afternoon.
Winning the George McMillan memorial shield this year was the team consisting Derek Edwards, Paul Winter and Brian Livie Jnr & Snr.
A number of individuals, too many to mention all by name ensured the day went without a hitch and the Club would like to thank all of those who contributed to a hugely successful day, both on and off the course.
Former City Manager and hall of famer Dick Campbell hosted the action which raised a significant total. The club would like to express our grateful thanks to those who bid in the auction and also purchased raffle tickets.
Chairman Kevin Mackie commented, "On behalf of the club I would like to thank everyone who made our golf day yesterday an amazing success. The weather was kind and the course was in great condition.
"A big thank you to the companies and individuals who entered teams. The generosity shown by everyone that took part in the auction and raffles is much appreciated and we look forward to more off-field events during the season.
"A special thanks go to Deano Greig, Martin Smith and Dick Robertson in making the day one to remember. Finally, I would like to thank Brechin Golf Club and all of their staff for helping making the day a great success."
