Club Statement - By Steven Mew

The Club is delighted to announce that David Hamilton has agreed to join the board of Directors.

Chairman Kevin Mackie commented, "Dave has a huge amount of passion and energy for the Club and he has a wonderful commercial brain that will help us on our journey to bring the club onto a continuous and sustainable financial model. We are delighted to have Dave on board and we look forward to working with him.

"After graduating from Abertay University, he started his entrepreneurial career as the co-founder of computer games firm, Digital Goldfish in 2005. After many years of success in this sector, David is now the Executive Vice President of Ninja Kiwi Europe and has branched out from the digital space as CEO and co-owner of The Scottish Deer Centre, earning multiple plaudits for the modernisation and investment at the park.

“He has kept his entrepreneurial roots close and recently launched CoelBrew, a specialised gluten free brewery based near St. Andrews.

"David has had a lifelong passion for football, having been a keen follower, player and official over the years. He has previously been involved with Dundee United and demonstrated by his investment in Brechin and passion for future success.

David replaces Hughie Campbell Adamson, one of the original directors, who commented, "I am delighted that Dave has agreed to join the Brechin board, and I know his experience and enthusiasm will serve Brechin City well. For my own part, I can now step away as a Director knowing that the restructuring and refinancing of the club is complete, and that it is in safe hands”.

Chairman Kevin Mackie added, "Hughie was instrumental in getting the incorporation process successfully delivered and whilst he is now stepping down, I am delighted that Hughie has agreed to continue to help the Club in any way he can.

"On behalf of everyone at the Club I would like to take this opportunity to thank Hughie for his invaluable input during the past 14 months.”

These changes will be discussed and voted on at the Annual General Meeting in the autumn.
