Last week, Brechin City FC was delighted to receive a £5,000 donation from Brechin City Supporters' Club.

Chairman Kevin Mackie commented, "On behalf of The Directors and Committee I would like to thank everyone involved with the Supporters Club for the hugely appreciated £5000 donation to the club recently.

"The effort in arranging the buses for the away games and all other fundraising activities are all hugely appreciated home and away.

"Our Supporters are the backbone of the Club and it is our aim to deliver entertaining football with modern facilities. I am sure you will agree we have already delivered on the entertaining part thanks to Andy, Craig and Simmo.

"We will continue to work hard with the Trust and HCG to push for the astro pitch as soon as possible as it was clear for all to see yesterday that this surface suits the energy we have in the team.

"The Supporters Club will be instrumental in helping us achieve our goals and we all look forward to continuing to work together to bring new ideas to the Club.

"Once again thanks to Dean and everyone at the Supporters Club for all the hard work behind the scenes that often goes unnoticed but it will always appreciated."

Dean Walker, Chairman of the Supporters' Club added, "We were delighted to hand over a cheque for £5000 to Brechin City Football Club last Friday evening. This donation bring the total this season given over to Brechin City just shy of £10,000.

"On behalf of the Supporters Club I'd like to thank all those who have contributed, whether it be from buying club merchandise to travelling on the bus to away games - you guys are the reason we can hand over substantial donations each year."
