Match Preview | Clachnacuddin v Brechin City - By Steven Mew

City travel north to face Clachnacuddin in Inverness tomorrow afternoon looking to continue where they left off against Fraserburgh in midweek.

Andy Kirk's side will go into the fixture full of confidence after a 5-goal victory over a strong Broch outfit.

However City should be wary of a Clach side that have enjoyed an upturn in form over the last month or so. Their narrow defeat at Nairn last week ended a run of 5 matches without defeat which included a win over Banks O' Dee and a creditable point against Fraserburgh.

TEAM NEWS
City will welcome back skipper Jamie Bain and Ewan Loudon back from suspension, meaning Manager Andy Kirk has a full squad to choose from.

MANAGERS COMMENTS
Reflecting on the 5-0 win over Fraserburgh in midweek, Andy Kirk commented, "It was an important game and it was a great performance at the right time for us. I thought the players were fantastic in terms of application, attitude and quality on the ball, especially in the first half. We are also looking solid defensively at the minute and they are doing their jobs well.

"The game becomes a bit difficult when you are 4-0 up at half time because Fraserburgh are a good team and they were always going to come out and try and get themselves back in the game."

The fixture pulled a crowd of just short of 1000, with Andy adding, "The numbers have been growing this year and the atmosphere in the ground was great. The young boys in the stand made a great noise and those things are important to the players. You can feel it out on the pitch that there are numbers supporting the team and gives them that little bit extra energy and determination. To get that crowd on a Wednesday night was fantastic."

Looking ahead to tomorrow's match against Clach, he said, "We need to do exactly what we did on Wednesday night. We need to approach the game in the same manner and level of commitment. The next 3 are still cup finals - they are massive games for us and the players have to take a lot of belief from that performance against Fraserburgh and take that into tomorrow's game."
