The draw for the group stage of the 2023/24 Viaplay Cup took place at Hampden earlier this afternoon.

City have been drawn in Group C alongside Livingston, Hamilton Academical, Cove Rangers and Clyde.

At one point it looked as though all 4 Angus clubs could end up in the same group with Arbroath, Montrose and Forfar all placed in Group H. However Brechin's ball came out in Group C and Cowdenbeath took the remaining spot in that group.

Fixtures will be announced in due course, with the competition getting underway on the weekend of July 15th/16th.

The eight group winners and three best runners-up will join European representatives Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen, Heart of Midlothian and Hibernian in the last 16 on August 19/20.
