Ahead of this afternoon's first pre-season friendly, Manager Andy Kirk has further strengthened his defensive options with the addition of Chris Mudie from East Craigie on a 2-year contract.

The promising youngster caught the eye with a string of impressive performances in the Midlands League last season and will now join up with the City squad ahead of the new campaign. During his time with the Shipbuilders, he made 77 appearances, contributing with 12 goals in the process.

Chris follows in the footsteps of both Fraser MacLeod and Grady McGrath who both played a key part in City’s league title win last season after joining from the Shipbuilders last summer.

Manager Andy Kirk commented, "Chris is a player we have watched a number of times over the last two seasons. Chris is athletic with good pace and he is a versatile player that can play at centre back and full back.

"We are hopeful that Chris can progress in the same way as Grady McGrath and Fraser MacLeod have over the past season."
