The Club is delighted to announce the signing of Broughty Athletic captain Ryan Ferguson on a 2-year contract as he returns to Brechin City for a third spell.

Ferguson will be a familiar face to many City fans, having previously played for the club under Ray McKinnon on loan from Dundee United at the tail end of the 2012/13 season. Another loan spell at Dunfermline Athletic followed, before he made a permanent move to City in January 2014.

After 18 months at the Glebe where he made a total of 51 appearances, Ryan made the transfer to near neighbours Montrose where he spent 4 1/2 years at Links Park before his move to Broughty Athletic.

His performances for the Fed have caught the eye of the City Management team and Club Advisor Craig Levein who are delighted to bring the 29 year-old back to Brechin.

Manager Andy Kirk commented, "Ryan joins us from Broughty Athletic - he is a versatile player who can play in defence and midfield.

"He has a very good pedigree having been full time at Dundee United along with experience of Championship, League 1 and League 2 including a spell with Brechin. Ryan will add more experience and leadership to the group."
