City will look to put their last two results firmly behind them as they aim to get back to winning ways against Huntly at the Carnegie Fuels Stadium tomorrow afternoon.
City suffered back to back defeats for only the second time in the Highland League, going down narrowly to Fraserburgh and Formartine Utd.
They come up against a Huntly side that enjoyed a fine start to the season, which included coming back from 2 goals down against City at Christie Park in August.
Since a Scottish Cup defeat against Forfar Athletic at the tail end of October, the Aberdeenshire side have struggled for form, having won just one of their last 6 league fixtures.
TEAM NEWS
City's only definite absentee will be Anthony McDonald whilst Kevin McHattie continues to make good progress and will be included in the squad. Manager Gavin Price hopes to have two new additions to the side prior to the game, so keep your eyes peeled on our website and social media channels!
MANAGERS COMMENTS
Reflecting on the narrow defeat against Formartine United last weekend, Gavin Price commented,
"We had a bad 20 minute spell where we didn't defend as a team and forgot the basics of the game. We've gone over it with the players and they all accepting of the fact that they let each other down during that spell because the rest of the performance was quite good.
"We were in control for the first 25 minutes - we took the lead and had chances to make it 2-0. For some unknown reason we then pressed the self-destruct button. With the exception of the mistake for their 4th goal, I can't fault them for the effort they put in second half and driving forward right to the end. We only have ourselves to blame for the goals we conceded and it's frustrating because we scored 3 good goals and from what we've been working on.
"Our forward play at times was very good but we can't legislate for that 20 minute period. If we want to win leagues then we can't defend like we did and we have to rectify that as a team."
Turning his attention to tomorrow's fixture against Huntly, he said,
"We've had a fantastic response in training - the players have worked hard and taken on board what we have been speaking about. We're all disappointed with how Saturday went and the only answer to that is to learn from our mistakes and get back on the horse again. We need to get back to winning ways and do every side of the game well which includes the dirty side. Pressing the ball well and squeezing the game are paramount to winning games at this time of year."
