City have further strengthened their attacking options with the addition of highly rated striker Sean Hastie from Scone Thistle.

The 21 year-old striker, who has penned a contract until the summer of 2026, has been training with the club in recent weeks and featured as a substitute against Formartine United at the weekend, getting himself on the scoresheet in the process.

Hastie, who is a product of St Johnstone's youth academy, has been with Scone Thistle since July 2021. His goalscoring prowess has caught the eye, having netted 56 times for the Midlands League side.

He goes straight into the squad for tomorrow's home league fixture against Huntly at the Carnegie Fuels Stadium at Glebe Park.

Manager Gavin Price commented, "He's been in training with us over the last couple of weeks and he's really impressed. We gave him a run in the team on Saturday and I'm glad we did because he changed the game a bit in terms of putting himself about. He's young and still has lots to learn in the game but he's certainly got the right attitude. He's a strong boy and will get stuck in.

"He won't just be a long term asset for the club but I'm sure he'll make a short term impact as well and that's what we're looking for him to do. If he applies himself like he did on Saturday then he could be a real surprise package this season.

"He's really motivated to get his opportunity here and I hope he carries on the promise that he has shown."
