City and Buckie Thistle go head to head for the first time since the final day of last season where City clinched the Highland League title in dramatic fashion at Victoria Park.
Both sides have continued their consistent form in this campaign and it looks increasingly likely that they will both be involved in the title shake up at the end of the season.
Although the Jags currently sit in 5th place 12 points behind City, they have 4 games in hand and will go into the game full of confidence following an impressive 5-1 victory over Brora Rangers in midweek.
City themselves head into the fixture in fine form having defeated Inverurie Locos away from home last weekend to make it 7 consecutive wins.
TEAM NEWS
City's only definite absentee will be long-term injury victim Anthony McDonald. Otherwise, Manager Gavin Price is likely to have the rest of his squad at his disposal.
MANAGERS COMMENTS
Looking back at the 2-0 win over Inverurie last weekend, Manager Gavin Price said,
"We started well with getting the early goal but then I felt we had a poor spell after that where Inverurie dominated the next 15-20 minutes. I thought we got stronger as the game went on - as a team we looked organised and defended very well. We were relatively comfortable in the second half. It was a good performance in the end but we just had a poor 20 minute spell which we'll look at."
Looking ahead to tomorrow's fixture against Buckie Thistle, Gavin added,
"Like any other game there are at 3 points at stake and we'll need to be at our best against one of the top teams in the league. It's a big challenge but we have to concentrate on ourselves and how we play and how hard we're working for each other. If we do that then we'll have a great chance of getting a positive result.

PREVIOUS MEETING
Buckie Thistle 0-2 Brechin City - 22nd April 2023
Very few City supporters will forget the last encounter between the sides as City netted twice in the final 4 minutes to clinch the Highland League Championship at Victoria Park on the final day of last season. It was a tense and nervy encounter which looked to be heading in Buckie's favour before Ewan Loudon netted in the 86th minute with a tremendous 20 yard strike which flew into the corner before Grady McGrath sealed the title with a second goal deep into added time.
