After the frustration of an enforced break last Saturday, City are back in action tomorrow afternoon as we welcome Deveronvale to the Carnegie Fuels Stadium at Glebe Park.
The late postponement against Keith proved to be controversial, with both sides more than happy to go ahead with the game however the match referee deemed the surface unplayable. It adds another midweek fixture to what is already a busy schedule for City over the next 6 weeks.
Tomorrow's visitors head into the fixture off the back of an impressive 3-1 victory over Turriff United at the Haughs in midweek, which followed a creditable 2-2 draw against Rothes last weekend. Those two results halted a run of 4 straight defeats for the Banff side who currently sit 3rd from bottom in the Highland League.
City will know a win tomorrow could potentially put them back top of the table, depending on the result between Fraserburgh and Banks O' Dee at Bellslea.
TEAM NEWS
City will welcome back Luke Strachan back into the squad after the full back missed the last fixture against Banks O' Dee but striker Sean Hastie will miss out after suffering an injury in training last week. Anthony McDonald also continues to be sidelined.
MANAGERS COMMENTS
Manager Gavin Price commented,
"Last week was frustrating for everyone involved - to travel all that distance and then have to do it all over again. It adds another game to an already tight schedule but it is what it is, we just have to move on.
"The silver lining is that it has allowed a few players to get over some niggles and they have trained well ahead of another busy week for us."
Turning his attention to tomorrow's match against Deveronvale, he added,
"I was at the Deveronvale game against Turriff United on Wednesday - they worked really hard and deserved to win against a good Turriff side. We know we'll have to be at it tomorrow - we've been good in these type of games this season so we need to make sure we continue that. We need to be as professional as possible and not take any game lightly."
