Brechin City FC is delighted to announce the signing of defender Brad McKay on a one-year contract.

The 31 year-old arrives at the Carnegie Fuels Stadium at Glebe Park with a wealth of experience, having played in the Premiership, Championship and League 1 in Scotland.

The former Scotland U21 international came through the system at his boyhood Club Heart of Midlothian where he went on to make 46 appearances, winning the Championship title in the process. During his time at Hearts, he also picked up a League 1 winners medal whilst on loan at Dunfermline Athletic.

Following his departure from Tynecastle, he moved on to St Johnstone before a 5 year spell with Inverness Caledonian Thistle where he amassed 164 appearances, winning the Challenge Cup on 2 occasions whilst helping to set a club record of 708 minutes without conceding.

McKay has most recently been with Falkirk where he has spent the last 3 seasons and will now embark on a new challenge at Brechin City.
