The top two in the Highland League lock horns tomorrow afternoon as City play host to Brora Rangers at the Carnegie Fuels Stadium at Glebe Park.
Statistically speaking, it's also the best defence against the best attack in what promises to be an interesting encounter. City have conceded just 5 goals in 13 games whilst Brora have rattled in an impressive 48 goals in just 12 games, an average of 4 per game.
A win for City would put them 10 points clear of Brora albeit having played a game more, whilst the Cattachs will undoubtedly be making the long journey looking to close the gap at the top.
TEAM NEWS
City will be without the services of Seth Patrick who misses through suspension following his red card against Turriff United last weekend. Ryan Ferguson continues to build up his fitness following injury and may feature, whilst Anthony McDonald is also available after not featuring last weekend.
MANAGERS COMMENTS
Commenting on the 1-0 victory over Turriff United at the Haughs on Saturday, Manager Patrick Cregg said,
"I thought Turriff were well organised but we played really well and we had more entries into the box than we've had in any other game this season so I was really happy with that. I thought our appetite and desire for the game was good and their keeper was excellent on the day.
"At half time we said to the group to just keep going and something would fall for us and thankfully it did. It was a massive win and sets us up nicely for Saturday."
Brad McKay netted his first City goal to earn all three points with Patrick adding,
"Brad has proven through the course of his career that he's good in both boxes so hopefully his goal was the start of a few more over the course of the season.
Looking ahead to the game tomorrow, he said,
"It's 1st against 2nd and just like every other game we'll be going out to win. It's a game we're really excited about."
