Match Preview | Brechin City v Keith - By Steven Mew

City will be aiming to make it five straight victories as we welcome Keith FC to the Carnegie Fuels Stadium at Glebe Park tomorrow afternoon.

TEAM NEWS
City will welcome back top scorer Dayle Robertson to the side after missing out last weekend due to illness. Lewis Martin is a slight doubt, but otherwise the rest of the squad is available for selection.

MANAGERS COMMENTS
Looking back at the victory over Lossiemouth last weekend, Manager Patrick Cregg said, "I was really happy again - I thought we dominated for about 70-80 minutes of the game. We were comfortable in the first half but lost our rhythm in the last 10 minutes or so.

"At half time I was a little disappointed we didn't work the keeper enough but I'm happy with the chances we created in the second half. After the break we knew if we got the next goal then we could go on and get more.

"Conceding the goal was obviously disappointing from our point of view - our lads have obviously switched off and stopped when they saw the linesman's flag. I feel sorry for them but that's football. We should be keeping clean sheets and they will come.

"We're in a good rhythm again - I think we lost our way for a period around the time we played Forres - we've had a lot of players missing but that's not an excuse. In the last 4 games we've been a real goal threat again."

PREVIOUS MEETING
Keith 1-3 Brechin City - 27 July 2024
The sides last met on the opening day of the season, with City eventually emerging victorious after being 1-0 down at half time to a Michael Ironside goal. A quickfire double from Ewan Loudon and Anthony McDonald early in the second half put City ahead, but Loudon netted a late penalty, after missing one just ten minutes prior, to wrap up the points.
