- By
Steven Mew
With City's Scottish Cup adventure over for another year, attention now turns back to the Breedon Highland League with a trip to face Strathspey Thistle at Seafield Park tomorrow afternoon (2pm KO).
With Storm Éowyn blowing through the country, as ever we will keep supporters updated of any developments including any pitch inspections as and when we have the information.
With our last league fixture coming four weeks ago at Huntly, Patrick Cregg and his side are undoubtedly itching to get back to action against a Jags outfit that currently sit bottom of the division.
TEAM NEWS
City will welcome back Seth Patrick from suspension but will continue to be without Anthony McDonald and also Captain Euan Spark who will be sidelined for a period after dislocating his shoulder against Hearts last week.
MANAGERS COMMENTS
Speaking on last weeks' cup tie against Hearts, Manager Patrick Cregg was proud of his players' efforts. He said, “In the first half I felt we shaded it and it would have been a fair reflection if we had gone in 1-0 up at half-time. We had belief at half-time that we could win, but as the game went on Hearts took over and they were the better team.
“I’m extremely proud of the players in terms of the effort they put in. The effort and willingness to work hard, the pre-requisites you need at any level, we have in abundance.”
“The goal (from Scott Bright) was unbelievable. Scott has aspirations to go on and achieve in the game and it’s up to him in terms of his mentality and the drive to get in St Johnstone’s first team.”
