Match Preview | Brechin City v Forres Mechanics - By Steven Mew

City will look to bounce back from defeat in midweek as we play host to Forres Mechanics tomorrow afternoon.

The result against Inverurie at Harlaw Park halted a sequence of 3 wins without conceding a goal and in turn saw Brora Rangers move back to the top of the league on goal difference.

The aim for City now will be to win their remaing games and ensure they are ready to take advantage of any slip up by the Cattachs in the weeks ahead.

Forres inflicted City's first league defeat of the season at Mosset Park in October, with Aidan Cruickshank netting a stoppage time winner. The Can-Cans currently occupy 10th spot in the league, with mixed form in recent weeks.

Fraser Macleod had given City the lead on 21 minutes, only for goals from Calum Frame and Jordan Alonge to turn the game on its head. Dayle Robertson restored parity six minutes before the break and with the game looking like it was heading towards a draw, Aidan Cruickshank netted a spectacular 25 yard strike to win the game for the hosts in stoppage time.
