City head into the final league fixture of the season against Lossiemouth tomorrow afternoon still in with a chance of the Highland League title.
However with Brora Rangers currently topping the table on goal difference, the Cattachs will go into the final day as overwhelming favourites to clinch the Championship as they host bottom side Rothes.
It will be the third season in a row that City will have played their part in a final day decider, having overcome Buckie Thistle in the 2022/23 campaign before losing out to the Jags last season.
The focus for City will be to finish the season strongly with a victory, and hope that the result can go in their favour at Dudgeon Park.
TEAM NEWS
City will continue to be without Anthony McDonald, Kevin McHattie, Dayle Robertson and Mitchell Findlay through injury.
MANAGERS COMMENTS
Reflecting on the victory over Nairn County last weekend, Interim Manager Ray McKinnon commented,
"I thought we were very comfortable in difficult conditions - I thought the park was very hard and fiery. We had a really strong first half where we could have scored 4 or 5.
"In the second half Nairn made it more difficult and didn't really come out of their shape too much - they operated with a back 5 and had most of their players behind the ball. We had a lot of possession but didn't utilise it enough - we played some good stuff and had a couple of good chances early on that we should have taken but overall it was comfortable in the end and a good result.
"We approach tomorrow's game exactly the same as we did last week and look to win. Hopefully the boys can achieve that and I'm sure we will and they are fired up to finish the season well."
