City head into their first competitive fixture of the season tomorrow afternoon as we welcome newly promoted Premiership side Falkirk to the Carnegie Fuels Stadium at Glebe Park.
It's set to be another tough test for City against John McGlynn's side who greatly impressed on their way to the Championship title last season.
City prepared for this fixture with two runouts against Premiership opposition in the shape of Dundee United and Dundee, before a 5-0 victory over near neighbours Brechin Victoria on Tuesday night.
TEAM NEWS
City will be without the services of Dayle Robertson, with his injury sustained towards the end of last season likely to keep him out for another few months. New signings Ben Armour and Bayley Klimionek are also likely to be sidelined for a couple of weeks.
With Manager Ray McKinnon still to finalise his squad ahead of the new season, he will have the relative luxury of being able to field two trialists for the Premier Sports Cup group stage.

PREVIOUS MEETING
Falkirk 3-0 Brechin City - 31st March 2018
Although the sides met in a pre-season friendly at Glebe Park six years ago, the last competitive fixture was in the Championship in the 2017/18 season as the Bairns ran out 3-0 winners at the Falkirk Stadium.
The home side were already two goals ahead though Aaron Muirhead and Craig Sibbald by the time Sean Crighton and skipper Paul McLean were shown straight red cards for challenges on striker Alex Jakubiak before the break.
This meant the 9 men of City had to push themselves to the limit to keep the scoreline down and that they did, with the Bairns only adding one more goal to their tally in the second half through Andrew Nelson.
SPONSORSHIP
Tomorrow's match has been sponsored by Committee Member Dick Robertson, whilst the matchball has been sponsored by long-time supporter Ian Croll. Leading out the team tomorrow will be Lewis McKendrick.
