Match Preview | Brechin City v Buckie Thistle - By Steven Mew

Following back-to-back away fixtures, City will look to continue their 100% start on home turf this weekend as we welcome Buckie Thistle to the Carnegie Fuels Stadium at Glebe Park.

The Jags, alongside City had previously been the only other side in the Highland League with a 100% record prior to a 4-1 defeat at home to Strathspey Thistle in midweek.

Ray McKinnon's side will pay little attention to that result however and will be wary of the potential backlash from the Moray side who will still harbour ambitions of challenging at the top end of the table.

TEAM NEWS
Ray McKinnon will have the same squad available for tomorrow's match with only Dayle Robertson missing through injury. Recent loan signing Wallace Baird will also be added to the roster.

MANAGERS COMMENTS
Reflecting on Wednesday's victory over Banks O' Dee, Manager Ray McKinnon commented, "Overall I think it was a very good victory for us at a very tough place to come and get a result. Banks O' Dee made it really difficult for us but I think we managed the game well. We scored two good goals and we created another couple of very good chances as well, especially in the second half so I'm pleased with the result.

"It's been a dream start winning 5 out of 5 but we're not getting carried away as this is a very competitive league. We just need to take one game at a time and make sure the players and motivated and disciplined for every game that comes up."

Mitch Taylor put in another impressive performance contributing with another goal and an assist. Ray said, "Mitch has been excellent since he joined the Club - he's got a real hunger to be successful and a hunger to score goals and create chances and it's a great attribute to have."

On City's impressive defensive record of just 1 goal conceded in 5 games, Ray added, "We're disappointed with the goal we conceded up at Rothes last week and we could have easily avoided that but in general the team have worked very hard to stop goals and chances and our record so far shows that."
