Brechin City can confirm that Ryan Ferguson has departed the club to join Midlands League side Broughty Athletic on a permanent deal.

Ferguson, who had been in his third spell with the Club, began the current campaign with seven consecutive starts however in recent weeks his appearances have been more limited, coming mainly from the bench.

Seeking regular game time, Ryan now returns to Broughty Athletic - a club he knows well having initially joined City from the ‘Fed’ in 2023.

A popular figure both on and off the pitch, Ryan leaves Brechin with the best wishes of everyone at the Club.
