Gary Bollan-Released

Here are several updates to allow supporters to catch up with all the minor goings on at Glebe Park in the past week or so.

Gary Bollan Released

As you may have read in the local press last week prior to the closure of the transfer window, the club parted company with experienced defender Gary Bollan.

Gary still had a year to run on his contract but wasn't in Michael's plans for this season, and both parties have mutually agreed a severance package which will mean Gary can become a free agent and hopefully get himself fixed up with another club.

Gary made a total of 19 appearances for the club but had not featured in a competitive game since February, in a 0-0 draw against Queen of the South at Palmerston.

Gary played as a trialist for Albion Rovers in their 3-2 victory over Arbroath at the week-end and we understand Gary put in a good performance for the Wee Rovers.

We would like to thank Gary for his efforts over the past year and wish him every success for the future.

New Sound Booth

Supporter's will have noticed the great job, which has been carried out by supporter's Eric Brown, Calum McLennan and Gary Ross in erecting a new sound booth at the rear of the Main Stand.

The guys have done a tremendous job in putting the booth together and we are in the process of of equipping it at present.

Once opened, it will house a new mixing deck, PA equipment and above all add quality to the sound system all around Glebe Park.

The Supporter's Club Centenary Fund is providing the funding for the project and the club wishes to thank all those who have assisted in what will surely be a very worthwhile project.

Hopefully, once up and running, this will assist us in providing some pre-match entertainment too. If you wish to suggest some songs you would like the DJ to play before the match, then simply log on to the FORUMS and post your thoughts in the topic.

Transfer Deadline

The manager spoke to a number of clubs about bringing in players in on both a permanant basis and on loan deals. Michael explained, "Loan deals used to be a way smaller clubs could boost their squads. However, I spoke to one of Scotland's leading club's to see if we could bring on of their young players in on loan."

"On this occasion, it just wouldn't have been financially prudent to do the deal. It would have cost us around £500 per week for an individual who would never have been our player."

"I am delighted with the response we have been getting from the guys already here though and rest assured, we will strengthen the squad when the window opens once again in January."

Milestone for Davie

Yesterday's match against Alloa Athletic marked a milestone in the career of centre half Davie White. Davie took part in his 250th competitive appearance as a senior, if our calculations are correct.
