Craig McEwan
City manager Michael O’Neill has negotiated a deal with 3rd division side Stenhousemuir which will see Craig McEwan leave Glebe Park to join the warriors while David Murie heads north to join City.
Craig McEwan signed for the club in the summer of 2005 after impressing the City management team with his performances at Dumbarton.
The 29 year old went on to make 33 appearances for City but unfortunately injury has hampered him this season and he has found it increasingly difficult to win his place back in the team.
Meanwhile, another right back in the shape of David Murie has come the other way in the swap deal. Murie has amassed over 250 senior appearances in his career, having served Hearts, Morton, Berwick and of course Stenhousemuir.
The 30 year old has made 18 appearances for Stenny this season, picking up 4 bookings and a red card in the 4-0 defeat against Albion Rovers earlier this month.
Everybody involved at Brechin City FC would like to wish Craig all the best in his future career while we extend a very warm welcome to David Murie, and we hope his stay at Glebe Park is a successful one.
The manager is currently in negotiations with a number of players and hopes to further strengthen his squad before the transfer window shuts at the end of the month.
