Home draw in the Cup

City have been drawn at home to third division leaders East Fife in the third round of the Scottish Cup. The club's previously met in the competition in the 1984-85 season, with City winning a replay at Bayview by four goals to nil after a 1-1 draw at Glebe Park. The last time the sides met in the competition the scoreline ended teh same at Glebe Park (1-1). This was in the 1991-92 season, on this occasion the Fifers won 2-1 at Bayview in the replay.
