Michael O'Neill
Brechin City's new signing Steven Canning, said he didn't have to be asked twice to leave the hallowed turf at Hampden Park for the green, green grass of Glebe Park.
Canning, who progressed up through the Spider's impressive youth scheme, playing at various under-age levels until he progressed into Queens Park's first team.
He said: "I am actually away on holiday with the lads from Queens Park shortly and I'm also off for a week to Portugal with my wife, but as far as the football is concerned, after I spoke to Michael O'Neill, it was a decision I felt I had to make.
"I know a lot of the Brechin lads and have obviously played up here a few times. I also managed to notch a goal against City at the start of last season at Hampden, but I'm hoping nobody will hold that against me.
"Brechin City have a great reputation, not only through their manager, but also for looking after their players. I am really excited about the new season and looking forward to a new challenge playing at Glebe Park.
"It will probably be strange going back to Hampden Park next season as a Brechin player, as I only live across the road from Hampden myself.
"I still have many friends there, but I'm hoping I can help Brechin challenge at the top end of the division two in the coming season.
"It's tough with the likes of Airdrie [
edit - At time of writing Airdrie have been promoted to Division 1 due to Gretna being demoted to the 3rd] and Raith still in this division, but with a few more additions, we have a chance, because there are some good players here already.
