Michael O'Neill has completed the signing of former Ipswich Town midfield player, Ian Nimmo (19) and also recruited the services of Spartans' central defender, John Seeley, who impressed against Partick Thistle at Glebe Park on Saturday.

Ian, who can also play in defence, hails from Bo'ness and was with Ipswich's youth and reserve sides and also gained experienced in non-league football with Corby Town.

John (26) was signed despite opposition for a couple of other senior clubs whom have been expressing an interest, after his fine performances with the Edinburgh side and more latterly playing for City against Hibs and Partick Thistle.

Michael O'Neill said: "This is a great opportunity for both of these lads. Both have a pedigree and both have the ability to make it at this level. I am still hopeful that we can strengthen the squad further in the near future.

"We are still very hopeful of bringing in another striker."
