Paddy Bows out! - By Match Secretary

Brechin City officiails last nigh bid farewell to former Dundee Utd and St Johnstone front man, Paddy Connolly, who is to join up with his brother-in-law Paul Martin as the new management team at Albion Rovers.

Paddy's contribution to Brechin City over the last couple of years has been excellent, and while sorry to lose the club's coach, chairman Ken Ferguson said Paddy goes with the best wishes of everyone at Glebe Park.

"Paddy has done well for us on and off the park" said Ken. "We can understand this being an opportunity to further his managerial aspirations and therefore, can have no qualms about the move. While we will miss Paddy, Michael is already in the process of trying to seek a replacement.

"That could mean the club has a new coach or player-coach, hopefully before too long!"

Paddy was an interested spectator at Station Park last night as Dick Campbells Forfar side provide the opposition in Albion Rovers first league fixture of the season.
