The waiting is almost over, the season kicks-off in a few hours time with a game for City against East Fife in the Challenge Cup.

And Brechin head into the season in good heart and chairman, Ken Ferguson, has highlighted just how you can help the club maintain its standards and push for promotion again in the coming season.

He said: "Earlier this week we took a booking for our final match of the season against Stranraer on May 2nd. To start the season with all our games sponsored at a decent level, is great.

However, we can't rest on our laurels, we want a concerted effort to raise cash through the player sponsorship scheme, both on the website (£100 a player) and in our match programme (£150 per player).

"If we sponsors all our squad through the two schemes, we effectively pay off our bill for our kit this season and in doing so, we obviously allow more cash to be made available to the manager, by raising more money at the sharp end.

"There are also other smaller avenues of sponsorship still available. Match Ball Sponsorship, or travel sponsorship. Which is a deal which allows your company to have its name displayed the length and breadth of Scotland on the front of our official team coach.

"Our website, which is attracting a lot of attention and hits of late, is also looking for a new main sponsor.
