Brechin City 2 Queens Park 1
- By
Jon Bergen
Brechin City were in good form once again, good enough to put away a scrappy Queens Park on a slippery pitch despite the blustery winds and threat of rain.
The scoring started in minute 41 with a good series of passes and effort that left Kevin Byers the chance to slot the hard kicked ball into the back of the net between several Queens Park players.
After the half it looked pretty even till QP gained a well earned goal in minute 78. But Brechin bounced back just a minute later with the winning goal by Darren Smith with a dazzler that shifted the momentum back to City.
A few close calls and lots of extra time later City wrapped up another winning day on the pitch.
For a hard days work Charlie King was voted Man of the Match.
