The Club has received a unwelcome approach from Dundee FC requesting permission to speak with Manager, Michael O’Neill with regard to their vacant Manager’s post.

The Management Committee has discussed this development with Michael and given his success to date we can understand how he is attracting attention from other Clubs. We have an open and honest relationship with our Manager, and whilst he has ambitions to further his football career he is currently fully committed to Brechin City and we have no intention of losing him.

The Club therefore refuse permission for Dundee to hold talks with the Manager.

Our priority is to prepare for Saturday’s fixture with Peterhead and no one at the Club wishes to be distracted from this task.
