A good number of Brechin supporters were out for a Monday night away match as Iain Diack pulled off a first half hat trick to give Brechin the edge in a 3 goal victory over Edinburgh City. Brechin dominated the majority of the first half and was able to keep Edinburgh City at bay for the second. So a good result to move into the next round of the Scottish Cup.

Brechin faces St. Mirren at home on 10 January 2009.
