Match postponed

Tonight's match against Raith Rovers has been postponed on the decision of the match referee who deemed the pitch unplayable.
City Chairman Ken Ferguson said:
'We are extremely disapointed with the referees decision to postpone this fixture. The groundsman was working on the pitch for most of the day and never felt the game was in doubt. Both teams wanted the game go ahead. The pitch is a bit heavy but in both teams opinion it was playable. However we recognise that the referee is the sole judge of this matter.
We are unhappy with some aspects surrounding the postponement and
we intend to raise these with the authorities. Manager Jim Duffy put the players through a training session and the surface stood up well to some concentrated use with the ball running freely and bouncing off the surface.
We are of course disapointed for the any fans who made the trip to the ground, some of whom saw for themselves the pitch condition. '
