Brechin City were first out of the hat in the Co-operative Insurance Cup 1st Round Draw made at Hampden on Thursday 4th June.

The Club will now play Elgin City in the first two competitive games of the new season. Having already drawn Elgin City away from home in the Alba Challenge Cup on 25th July the Club will face the Borough Briggs side again the following Saturday in the 1st Round of the Co-operative Insurance Cup.

In the event of a draw after normal time, extra time of 30 minutes (i.e. 15 minutes each way) will take place and thereafter, if necessary, kicks from the Penalty Mark will be taken in accordance with the Rules laid down by The International Football Association Board.
