STIRLING MATCH PREVIEW
- By
John Hoey
City will go to Stirling tomorrow looking to pick up their first away points of the season, but their task will be made more difficult with the news that influential midfielder Kevin Byers will again miss out through injury.
Byers will join long-term casualties David Murie and David White on the sidelines. With veteran defender Barry Smith still unavailable and Neil Janczyk doubtful, City certainly don't have thier problems to seek. Janczyk had to come off during last Saturday's 3-1 win against Cowdenbeath but he will be given up to the very last moment to prove his fitness.
Depite those injury worries, boss Jim Duffy is looking forward to the match.
" Stirling will be one of the main contenders for promotion this season. They are a good footballing side who have plenty of options, especially up front.
However, despite our injury problems, we will approach the game in a positive manner and try to come away with a good result.
It's very early days for every team in the division, but it was encouraging that we created a lot of scoring opportunities in last week's match, and I want to see that continue tomorrow."
